This workshop is for people who want to know more about estate
planning and why or why not it may be appropriate for you at this time. It
is educational in nature and will expose some of the truths about planning, the
good, the bad, and the ugly, as experienced by this attorney over the years. The
workshop will discuss the three step strategy necessary to have an estate plan that
works. Former clients are encouraged to attend as well as their friends

This workshop teaches advisors how financial planning and estate
planning can be integrated. It teaches advisors the personal protections
that estate planning through trusts can bring to their clients. The use
of trusts in planning can add disability or standby management planning for clients
who become disabled. Trusts can add remarriage protection for clients after one
spouse dies. Trusts can add divorce protection for their children, bankruptcy
and lawsuit protection, and estate tax protection for intergenerational transfers.

This workshop reviews the changes in the IRA and qualified plan
regulations published by the IRS in 2002. These regulations make it easier
than ever to defer distributions or to take the smallest possible amount from an
IRA or a qualified plan. The advantage to this is increased compounding
in a tax-deferred environment. Also, the new regulations make it easier
than ever to leave your IRA - as an IRA - to your children or other loved ones,
even in trust.
